BAE Systems Surface Ships - Operations and Manufacturing Graduate

BAE Systems Surface Ships is currently producing 6 of the most complex warships in the world and with CVF (Aircraft Carrier) and export market opportunities on the horizon this is both an exciting and challenging place to be.

I began on the GDF in 2005 and the past 15 months have so far taken me on a steep learning curve through 5 different placements allowing me to gain experience in many elements of producing a complex warship from Manufacturing to Test & Commissioning and the support functions such as Facilities Management. The placements are complemented by an accredited training program and supported through business mentors, all of which ensures that the time spent on the GDF is flexibly structured to provide the best opportunities for the individual.

I am looking forward to the remainder of the GDF and hope to build upon the skills and experience I have already acquired since joining. BAE employs over 7000 people across 4 sites which means there is always opportunities to get involved and the GDF provides the support I need to use these opportunities and drive my own career ambitions.
